SOLO

She was the first member of Blackpink to release an individual track, titled “SOLO.” The music video showcased her versatility as both a rapper and singer, while further establishing her as a fashion icon through the more than 20 outfits worn within the three-minute clip. The single, simply titled Solo, has apparently managed to sell over 500,000 units in the US, according to Koreaboo. This has enabled the winning track to qualify for an RIAA Gold certification having surpassed the 500,000 sales mark. The feat also makes the 23-year-old rapper, singer and leader of BlackPink under YG Entertainment the best-selling Korean female soloist in the US at the moment. Not bad for Jennie and the catchy single, which had attained the position in less than a year after its release last November. Solo peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s US World Digital Song Sales chart and its accompanying music video has also garnered over 376 million views on YouTube so far.
